Keith Blocker

Keith Martin Blocker, 68, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by family.

He was born December 13, 1956, in Jonesboro to Darrell and Mary Lee (Bearden) Blocker. After graduating from Nettleton High School in 1975, he attended Arkansas State University receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in both Physics and Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, Keith worked in Houston, Texas as a seismologist for the oil industry. He later returned to Jonesboro and began his career at Craighead Electric Cooperative Corporation where he worked faithfully and with pride for over 36 years. Beginning as an engineer in 1989, he rose through the ranks to become Chief Operating Officer of External Operations. Keith was instrumental in much of the change and expansion that occurred during his tenure. He dearly loved his many roles throughout his years at Craighead Electric, gaining lifelong friends.

An avid hunter, he cherished his time in the outdoors. He could often be found in his yard or on his tractor doing various projects. He was a collector, meticulous cataloger and organizer. He loved to travel and was always planning his next trip. Keith found great joy in all these activities.

Keith married Joan Haynes on October 9, 1993, and they had 32 wonderful years together. Others remaining to cherish Keith’s memory are his daughters Paige (Matt) Noles and Lindsey (Jake) Stacy; grandchildren, Cooper Noles, Henry Stacy and Jillian Stacy; sister Darice (Bill) Ragan; and brother Bryan (Laura) Blocker. Keith also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives.

The family will hold a private gathering to honor his memory at a later date.
