Kay Potter Holladay, 61, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Hollywood, California, Kay lived in Michigan before moving to Jonesboro where she lived most of her life. She worked several years as a Hostess at Craighead County Nursing Home and was a Baptist. Kay was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Dunn Potter and by a grandson, Christian Romeo Cooper.
Survivors include her husband, Roman Holladay of the home;
2 daughters: Janis Story of Lunsford and Jennifer (Eric) Pickle of Cave City;
2 sons: Fred James of Valley Springs, California and Jesse (Danielle) Ussery of Detroit;
Her father, Nelson Potter of Springfield, California;
An aunt, Jeanette Sharp of Atkins;
26 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
The Holladay family wishes to extend deepest gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of the Third Floor at St. Bernards Medical Center along with the staff at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House for the excellent care given to Kay. The family feels that all were truly touched by God.
