Kathy Rae Woods

Kathy Rae Woods, 62, of Jonesboro, died Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a life-long resident of Jonesboro. Kathy was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was the owner/operator of the Title Company for over 40 years. She enjoyed anything to do with horticulture. She enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. She was preceded in death by her son, Chris McBroom and her father, Paul R. Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Wayne Woods, of the home; sons, Jason Paul Woods and James Clay Woods; mother, Curly Smith; twin sister, Karen Gamblin; sister, Paula McGowan all of Jonesboro; grandson, Kyle McBroom.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday, January 13, 2017 at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Curtis Shatley officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Herman Cemetery with Dave Atherton, Larry Davis, Clay Raines, Randy West, Mack Newsom and Thomas Chaplain serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Ladies of Prayer Sunday School Class; Members of the Association Motorcycle Club; and Dr. Khalil, nurses and staff at the Clopton Clinic Oncology Department. Visitation will be from 5- 7 Thursday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
