Kathy Lyle Shaw Silsbee

Kathy Lyle Shaw Silsbee, 65, of Jonesboro died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  She had lived in Jonesboro for 11 years, moving here from Blytheville, Arkansas.  She attended the Rock Church of Jonesboro. She was born on October 7, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Frederick and Barbara Shaw.  Kathy served her community as a supervisor in the child support services and as a personal care giver.  She loved to cook, work in her garden and crafting, but her self-proclaimed greatest accomplishment was caring for her family and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Sines.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Brian Silsbee, of the home; son, Joseph Seibert and wife Gabriella of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Amy Crawford and husband Joseph of Jonesboro; Kristal Warrick of Lees Summit, Missouri; Emma Horan and husband Matthew of Charleston, South Carolina; Julie Matthews and husband Kelly of Blytheville; step-son, Nathan Silsbee of Brookland; step-daughter, Erika Silsbee of Jonesboro; and 8 grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be 2:00 Friday, June 9, 2023, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Watson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow the service at Nettleton Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
