Kathy “Rose” Diane Moore Ashford, 66, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at White County Medical Center in Searcy. She lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was born on April 23, 1959, at Trumann to Billy Ray and Emmajean Moore. She was of the Assembly of God belief. Kathy had a multi-faceted career. She was a cosmetologist, a Central Car Dealership salesperson, and was the #2 Worksite Agent for the largest insurance agency in the world. She also worked as the social director at Lexington Place Nursing Center. She loved fishing, junking, and most importantly, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. When ever she walked into the room, she “lit it up”. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Mike Ashford, of the home; sons, Brunnie O’Guinn and wife Mary Beth of Huttig, Arkansas; Tanner O’Guinn and wife Katie of Lake City; daughter, Chastity Mott of Jonesboro; brothers, Bill Moore and wife Laurie of Fort Smith, Arkansas; James Moore and wife Shirley; Danny Moore and wife, Toni; sister, Dorothy Davidson and husband Frank, all of Jonesboro; 8 grandchildren, Emma, Hadli, Dylan, Bear, Staley, Ian, Chloe and Payton; sisters-in- law, Judy Dacus of Jonesboro; and Mary Ann Cole of Walnut Ridge.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 12, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with James Moore officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery with Andrew, Jason, Jeremy, Justifer, Brody and Ian serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Dole Yarbrough, Ken Yarbrough, Dan Ferguson, Richard Dust, Jim Pinson and the employees of Central Chevrolet. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
