Kathy Lynn “Memaw”, 62, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her home. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1978, moving here from Illinois. She was born in Joliet, Illinois on December 26, 1961, to Ronald and JoAnn Poppleton. She loved game show. She was either watching game shows, the Razorbacks, girls’ softball, or Cardinals Baseball. Growing up she enjoyed working with and showing horses. She was preceded in death by her lifelong friend and coparent, Richard Gum, her dad and one nephew “her Pumpkin”.
Survivors include her daughters, Lauri Montgomery and her husband Drew of Jonesboro; Shana Easley of Brookland; mother, JoAnn Braden; brother, Mike Poppleton and wife Lisa, all of Jonesboro; sisters, Jennifer Dotson and husband Paul of Pangburn, Arkansas; Cheri Bryant of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Gracie, bonus grandchildren Addison, Makayla, Lance, and Savannah. She had nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces that she loved very much.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with LJ Bryant and Ryan Wortham officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. The burial will be private.
