Kathy Kitchen Morphis

Kathy Kitchen Morphis, a beloved mother and “Mamaw”, died Sunday morning at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband, Denny Morphis, 2 sons, Trevor and Ricky Kitchen and 1 daughter, Jamie Black, all of Jonesboro. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Sarah Kate, Hannah, and Ty Black, Alex, Konner, Lilly, and Lauren Kitchen, all of Jonesboro. She is further survived by her sisters, Debbie Collier, Black Oak, Pat Muir, Jonesboro, her brother, Ricky Merritt, Fairbanks, Alaska, and her best lifelong friend, Gary, many other friends, and loved ones.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Haynes Cemetery in Swifton with Brother Don Martin officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Cory Collier, Kenneth Kitchen, James Kitchen, Joshua Merritt, Cody Black, and Tyler Collier.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
