Kathryn L. Shepard

Kathryn (Kathy) Shepard, 68, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  She was born in Kennett, Missouri on May 16, 1954, to the late Edward Holifield, Jr. and Geneva Holifield.

Kathy grew up in Rector, Arkansas where she graduated as Salutatorian in 1972.

Survivors include her husband, David Shepard of Jonesboro; son, Stacey Benson (Dawn) of Paragould; daughter, Shannon Cummings (Chris) of Pearland, Texas; mother, Geneva Holifield; sisters, Beverly Daniel (David); and Sherian Holifield of Jonesboro; brother, Edward Holifield, III of Decatur, Georgia; three granddaughters, Alexis Benson, Halee Benson, and Ariella Cummings; one great-granddaughter, Sterling Garner; and two beloved dogs, Jett and Avery.

A memorial service will be at 2:00p, Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chris Harrell officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be private.  Visitation will be from 1:00p until service time on Sunday.
