Kathryn Richie

Kathryn Richie, 91, of Bay died Sunday July 19, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas on October 7, 1923 to the late James and Florence Morris Griffin. She had lived in Bay most of her life, was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay. Kathryn loved to do quilting, crocheting, sewing and she loved her grandchildren dearly.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; James Odell Richie, Daughter; Phyllis Dian Burns, Brothers; James Russell Griffin, Felton Franklin Griffin, Johnnie Willard Griffin, Larry Jewell Griffin and Leslie Griffin. Sisters; Lena Swan Griffin and Joan Griffin.

Survived by her son; James Douglas Richie (Janette) of Bay.

Son in law; John Burns of Blacksburg, Virginia.

Brother; Prentiss Carl Griffin of Searcy.

3 grandchildren; Mark Richie, Lori Hundley and Jill Malinchock.
6 great grandchildren; Chase Hundley, Ben Hundley, Mack Hundley, Drake Richie, Holden Malinchock and Kendall Malinchock.

Funeral service will be at 12 noon on Thursday July 23, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bay with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M until service time on Thursday July 23, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bay.

Pallbearers will be David Hundley, Chase Hundley, Mack Hundley, Mark Richie, Drake Richie and Michael Ashlock.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Bay, 200 Central Ave. Bay, Arkansas 72411.
