Katherine Wolverton

Katherine Wolverton, 92, of Bay, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her home with her daughter’s by her side. She had lived in Bay since 1983, moving here from Chicago, Illinois and was a member of the Bay First Baptist Church. Katherine was the treasurer of the Bay Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wolverton; daughters, Kay and Kathy; brothers, Mike Ryan and Steve Ryan.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Wolverton (Josie) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Ray Wolverton (Angie) West Chicago, Illinois; daughters, Brenda Hendrixson, Mary Banks, Nancy DeBock all of Bay; Clara Cooper (Tom) Sugar Groove, Illinois; brothers, Pat Ryan (Louise) of Trumann; sisters, Marie MaGhee of Memphis; Helen Seefers (Bo) and Rita Simmons of Jonesboro; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Tuesday until service time. Burial will be at Elmlawn Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois.
