Katherine "Kat" D. Elrod

Katherine “Kat” D. Elrod, age 83 of Jonesboro, passed away Monday evening at St. Bernards Medical Center. Kat was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief. She loved going to garage sales and enjoyed her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, A.H. and Helen Fort Barnhill; husband, Dallas; 3 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 son, Barry Elrod.

Survivors include sons, Davy “Duke” Elrod and Mark Elrod, both of Jonesboro; and daughter, Melissa (Sam) Moore of Lenexa, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

There will be no services and burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
