Karen L. Billips

Karen L. Billips, 46, of rural Jonesboro, died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Rockford, Illinois, Karen moved to Pocahontas in 1978 and then to Jonesboro in 1979. She was a 1984 graduate of Nettleton High School and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Arvin Billips, by her step mother, Jean Billips, and by her step father, Joe D. Reed.

Survivors include her fiancé, Vernon Sullins of Jonesboro;

Her daughter, Hayley Billips of Jonesboro;

Her mother, Wanda Reed of Trumann;

2 sisters: Robin Fike of Monroe, Louisiana, and Crystal Young of Jonesboro;

6 brothers: Randy Billips of Jonesboro, Russell Davis of Pioneer, Louisiana, and Steve Billips, Randy Davis, Rick Davis and Ray Davis, all of Pocahontas; and

Several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening, June 19, 2012, at 6:30 in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church near Jonesboro with Pastor John Durham officiating. Burial will be private.

There will be no visitation.
