Karen L. Goatcher

Karen L. Goatcher, 73, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born to the late Leon and Doris Runyon on November 15, 1944 in Bakersfield, California.

Karen has resided in Jonesboro for the last thirteen years after coming from Bishop, California. She was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church. Karen was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed painting, sewing, and music. She worked for Kern County Welfare Department for nineteen years.

Karen is preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by her husband. Bill Goatcher, of 54 years; son: Michael (Christina) Goatcher of Jonesboro; daughter: Martha (Don) Jones of Paragould; sister: Jan Gay of Irving, TX; grandchildren: Nick, Aaron, Mathew, Joshua, and Brittni; great grandchildren: Nicky Jr., Briley, and Billy; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October13, 2018 at Pine Log Cemetery with Brother Tony Stottlemyer officiating.
