June (Carner) Peaster, age 67, of Lake City, Arkansas left this Earth in her home on August 9 ^th 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

June was born on September 25 ^th , 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Eugene “Bootsie” Carner and Maxine Carner.  June attended Lake City High School in Lake City, Arkansas and graduated in 1968.

June married her Husband, of 45 years, Donnie Peaster in April of 1973. They had one daughter Jennie Peaster that she loved and devoted her life to.  June was a member of Lunsford Baptist Church. June was a Jill of all trades. She was a retired Cosmetologist, owned and operated the Chatterbox Restaurant, managed Chick Fil A at ASU, and owned and operated a successful rental business.

June loved traveling, getting together and spending time at Spring River with her family and friends, and spoiling her grandbabies rotten. June loved the outdoors. June loved the Lord and enjoyed being involved in church activities that brought others closer to Jesus.

June was known as Momma June to many, but none more than her two grandchildren Paris and Jace McGee.  June has touched so many lives in her 67 years. June was a very strong, courageous, faithful, and fearless woman that will be greatly missed by so many.

June was preceded in death by her Father Eugene “Bootsie” Carner and her Mother Maxine Miller.  Survivors include her loving husband Donnie Peaster of the home, her Daughter Jennie McGee and Husband John McGee of Lake City, Arkansas and two Grandchildren Paris and Jace McGee.

Services for June will be conducted by Emerson’s Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Visitation will be held in the Emerson Memorial Chapel on Tuesday August 14 ^th from 5:00 to 7:00pm.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 15 ^th at 1:00pm at Lunsford Baptist Church in Lunsford, Arkansas with Brother Ron Langston officiating.
