June Lamberson Moody

June Lamberson Moody, 70, of Bay passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1951 in Jonesboro to the late Verlin and Betty Lamberson. June was a member of Bay Church of Christ. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, shopping and her favorite basketball team, the Bay Yellow Jackets. Most of all June loved her family and friends and spending time with them. She and her family always had big family get togethers on the holidays.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Lamberson.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Moody of the home; 2 sons, Ben (Carolyn) Towery of Bay, Josh (Tonya) Towery of Bay; daughter, April (Alan) Blankenship of Olive Branch Mississippi; 5 grandchildren: Brooke Blankenship of Olive Branch, Brenden (Montana) Blankenship of Byhalia Mississippi, Tiffany (Nathan) Smith of Albany Georgia, Lane Brewer of Bay, Kristen Towery of Bay; 3 step-children, Stephanie Moody of Portia, Michael Moody of Jonesboro, Johnny (Melissa) Moody of Paragould; 7 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mark Spencer and Bro. Marvin Rickett officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Eddie Martin, Allen McCoy, Jack Knight, Gary Lamberson, Russell Hall and Terry Hall.

Bay Class of 1969 and Blake and Brett Lamberson will be honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
