Judy Renay Moody

Judy Renay Moody, 57, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at NEA Baptist Hospital. Born in Oildale, California, she had lived in Jonesboro since 1975. She was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church and loved arts and crafts. She loved to cross stitch and read and also enjoyed antiques. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Garrison Moody of the home; her mother, Mary Hodge, Nickerson, Kansas; her sons, Samuel Moody, Jonesboro and Matthew (Sheena) Moody of Pocahontas; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Tabor, Ronnie Moody, David Moody, Gabriel Moody, Kendra Moody; her siblings, Sharon Colle, Inman, Kansas, and Doreen Morse, Wichita, Kansas, Kent Hodge, Ohio, Phil Hodge, Folsom, California, and Kathie Keister, Sacramento, California.

She was preceded in death by her father, George F. Hodge.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Randall Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Moody, James Moody, Donald Stallings, Fred Thorton, Ben Colle, and Richard Shelby.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
