Judy Kay West

Judy Kay West, 51, of rural Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, near her home north of Jonesboro when the vehicle she was riding in was swept off of the roadway by floodwater. Her husband Dan also perished in the accident.

Born in Corning, Judy lived much of her life in Jonesboro. She worked several years for Trailmobile Manufacturing in Jonesboro before becoming disabled. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her son, Zachary Morris Black, and her mother, Lois Stinnett.

Survivors include: 1 daughter and son-in-law: Makala and Joshua Roberson of Jonesboro;

1 granddaughter, McKenzie Roberson; and

Her father, Gordon Stinnett of Harrisburg.

A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Winningham officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-7, prior to the service in Emerson Chapel.
