Judith “Judy” Faye Tate, 72, of Brookland passed from this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Judy was born on May 3, 1944 to the late Sam and Mable Henderson Pollock in Dorena, Missouri. She move to Northeast Arkansas in 1983 and later moved to Jonesboro in 1994. She retired from Arkansas State University. Judy loved fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Marvin Tate of the home; sons, Marty (Marieta) Tate of Brookland; Bobby (Penny) Tate of Manila; brother, Harold Pollack of Obion, TN; sisters, Mildred (Dallas) Bargery of Ridgely, TN and Virginia (Vernon) Alexander of Union City, TN; seven grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Paul Vincent and Bro. Aaron Bargery officiating. Interment will directly follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Tate, Leonard York, Royce York, Chris Tate, Byron Stover, and Ray Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Tate, McCain Tate, Jared Burks, Meagan Gillean, Matt Gillean, Alyssa Burks, Mackenzie Tate, Makena Tate, Kasidy Tate, and Zach Rinehart.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5-7pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
