Juanita “Nanny” Willey, 86, of Brookland went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Regional One Health Medical Center. She was born February 2, 1933 in Maysville to the late Brooks and Edith Hayes. Juanita was a faithful member of Bethel Station Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working outside, gardening and tending to her flowers. Juanita was an artist who enjoyed painting. She also loved spending time with her family and cooking for them.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Dale Willey; brother, James Hayes and sister, Glennola “Corky” Campbell.
Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, James Edward Willey of the home; 2 grandchildren, Sebrena (Rusty) Willey Coleman of Brookland, Michael Kale (Tami) Willey of Wichita, Kansas; 6 great grandchildren: Zachary, Chase, Emily, Caleb, Cade and Josiah Coleman all of Brookland.
Funeral service will be Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dennis Vowell officiating. Burial will follow at Woods Chapel Cemetery with active Pallbearers being Zachary Coleman, Chase Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Cade Coleman, Josiah Coleman and Jacob Bracken. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Clayton, Johnny Camp, Eddie Johnston, Zachary Fletcher, Nicholas Fletcher and members of Bethel Station Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
