Juanita Vanhoozer, 72, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Tuesday morning at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born in Craighead county and a member of the Egypt Church of Christ. Juanita loved the outside. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting and camping and she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her 1st husband, Merrell Dye and 2nd husband, Travis Vanhoozer.
Survivors include 2 sons: Donnie Dye of Colt and Danny Dye-Stickney of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 daughters, Patty Dorton (Steve) of Jonesboro; Candy Gargaro (David) of Bono, and Cookie Kueter of Jonesboro. 1 brother, Doyle Thomas of Searcy; 3 sisters, Shirley Arnold of Pangburn; Frances Wilbanks of Jonesboro and Virginia Cox (Danny) of Conway. 9 grandchildren, Cynthia Taylor, Kyle Dye, Teressa Rucker, Kelsi Gargaro, Derek Kueter, Angel Dorton, Davanna Gargaro, Russell Dorton and Jennifer Dorton. 8 great grandchildren, Abby Dorton, Emma Windham, Blake Dorton, Wesley Dorton, Dylan Woldridge, Cholie Woldridge, Sianna Rucker, and Skyler Dye.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
