Laura Juanita Grisham, 95, of Bay, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
Born in Lunsford, Mrs. Grisham lived most of her life in Bay. She was a homemaker and worked several years for the U.S. Government Selective Service. She was a member of the Bay Church of Christ and attended Jonesboro Business College and Arkansas State College.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Grisham, a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Grisham, by a great grandson, Ryce Hundley Grisham, and by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy and Barbara Grisham, and Howard and Jean Grisham, all of Jonesboro;
2 daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and Darrell Austin of Paragould, and Cindy and Paul Atkinson of Bryan, Texas;
2 sisters: Elsie Harris of St. Louis and Doris Harrison of Reno, Nevada;
10 grandchildren: Forrest Grisham, Niki Garrett, Alicia Ballard, Jerrod Grisham, Darrah Snyder, Darran Austin, Darrak Austin, Darrell Michael Austin, Leah Lucas and Laura Atkinson;
13 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Marvin Rickett officiating.
Pallbearers include Forrest Grisham, Jerrod Grisham, Darran Austin, Darrak Austin, Darrell Austin and William Ballard.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
