Juan Muñoz

Juan Muñoz, 76, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1943 in Linares, Nuevo Leon in Mexico to the late Ernesto and Maria De Jesus Muñoz. Juan was a member of Betel Church. He worked with his sons at Muñoz Acoustics.  Juan enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming horses and cattle. Most of all he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and watching them play sports.

In addition to his parents, Juan was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Maria Idalia Barrera, Juanita Muñoz; son, Jose De Jesus Muñoz and sister, Idalia Muñoz.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Consuelo Muñoz; 4 sons: Jose Ramon (Jacqueline) Muñoz, Jose Guadalupe (Ana Laura) Muñoz, Daniel (Maria Guadalupe) Muñoz, Juan Gerardo (Olga) Muñoz; 7 daughters: Alma Muñoz, Blanca (Pedro) Rodriguez, Maria L. (Jose) Alejo, Sanjuana (Jose) Garza, Hilda (Jose Luis) Pacheco, Norma (Rufino) Muñoz, Maria Consuelo Muñoz (Dustin) White; 2 brothers, Ramon Muñoz, Martin Muñoz; 7 sisters, 37 grandchildren: Alvaro Barrera, Joshua Barrera, Greg Muñoz, Edgar Barrera, Ana Muñoz, Nicholas Mata, Jessie Rodriguez, Jose Muñoz, Brittney Muñoz, Joe Pacheco, Johnny Rodriguez, Daniella Alejo, Cinthya Pacheco, Jose Garza, Aracely Muñoz, Brianna Pacheco, Daniel Muñoz, Gabriel Mata, Jesus Garza, Andy Garza, Dayanara Alejo, Juanjose Muñoz, Gerardo Muñoz, Jose Alejo, Idalia Moran, Maria Idalia Muñoz, Alexander Rodriguez, Mia Mata, Isabella Mata, Giuliana Abigail Muñoz, Camila Guadalupe Muñoz, Leonardo Cruz, Jared Rodriguez, Gabby White, Alexa White, Julia Anamari Garza, Emma Cruz and 1 great grandchild, Joaquin Barrera all of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Hector Ruiz officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 pm in Emerson Stateroom. A second visitation will also be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
