J.P. Haff, 80, Brookland, died Thursday at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Born in Caraway, J.P. was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring father. He was a cattle rancher and farmer and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Doris Haff of Brookland; his son, Jerry Don (Sheila) Haff, Jonesboro; daughters, Ann (Mark) Wilson, Jonesboro, Jan (Curtis) Gifford, Brookland; his grandchildren, Sean Haff, Nick Haff, Jamie Brown; great grandchildren, Hayes Haff, Jarrett Brown, Taylor Haff; and his sister, Pauline Morgan, Paragould.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Gracie Fairchild Haff; his brothers and sisters, Pete Haff, James Haff, Hozie Haff, Otis Haff, Clara Kennedy, Irene Haff, and Louise Johnson.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Patty Soward officiating. Entombment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers are Dennis Hendley, Paul Morgan, Terry Grimes, Adam Wall, Dennis Lamberth, and Dennis Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Haff, Sean Haff, W.L. Cornwell, James Wallace, Jerry Hall, Gene Smith, and Bennie Futrell.
Visitation will be Saturday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Dr. J. Cranfill and the staff of the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House for the excellent care and support for the Haff Family.
