Joyce Elizabeth Watson

Joyce Elizabeth Watson, 70, of Earle, Arkansas, departed this life on June 5, 2024, at her home. She was born on August 16, 1953, to the late George and Frances Scercy in South Bend, Indiana.

Joyce was a devoted family woman whose greatest joy was spending time with her dog and her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She cherished watching her grandkids and son wrestle, a passion that brought her immense happiness and pride.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luther Watson, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage, two grandchildren, Timothy Parks Jr. and Jonathan Watson, and one sister Debra Scercy.

She is survived by her two sons, Randy Parks (Stephanie) of Blue Mountain, Mississippi, and Thomas Watson (Jackie) of Earle, Arkansas; one daughter, Karen Wright (Shane) of Walnut, Mississippi; six brothers, Dennis Scercy of Bay, Rickey Scercy of Harrisburg, Chris Scercy of Harrisburg, Terry Scercy of Bay,  Brian Scercy of Jonesboro, and Billy Scercy of Ash Flat; three sisters, Jackie Lawson of Bay, Kimberley Kain of Jonesboro, and Trisha Woodruff of Paragould; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Salvation Ministries (5071 Hwy 226 Spur, Jonesboro, AR, 72405) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Medlock Cemetery in Mississippi.

Joyce’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
