Joyce Vaughn

Joyce Vaughn, 91, of Jonesboro, departed this life on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born October 31, 1931 in Monette to the late Ellis and Ruth Smithee.

Joyce was lovingly known as Nanny by her family and was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. She enjoyed watching game shows on television and taking care of and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Vaughn, one daughter, Sandy Vaughn, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one son, Steve Vaughn (Cynde) of Jonesboro; one brother, J.W. Smithee of Illinois; two sisters, Barbara Muller (Bud) of Hardy and Mildred Miller of Hardy; three grandchildren, Jenna Green (Josh) of Jonesboro, Chase Futrell (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, and Jessica Vaughn of Almyra; and one great-grandchild, Harper Grace Green of Jonesboro.

All services will be private.
