Joyce Fay Taylor

Joyce Fay Taylor, 81, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the NEA Baptist Hospital. Joyce was born in Jonesboro on July 7, 1937, to the late Daniel and Ara Bennett Flemon. Joyce returned to Jonesboro in 1982, after Joe retired from the Air Force, was a charter member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and the former owner and operator of J.T. Honda.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alan Taylor Sr. Son, Joe Alan Taylor Jr., Brothers, Garry, Barry, Richard, C.H., and Michael Flemon.

Survived by her daughter, Tamra Chavis (Randy) of Darlington, South Carolina.

Brothers, Bill Flemon  (Wanda), Danny Flemon (Nancy) and Mark Flemon (Carla) all of Jonesboro.

Sister, Lois Mae Morgan of Jonesboro.

Sister-in-laws, Patricia Flemon, Colean Flemon, Dolly Flemon, Irene Flemon and Dr. Bonni Libhart all of Jonesboro.

Grandchildren, "Joey" Alan Taylor III, of Germantown Tenn., Hayden Taylor, and Kylie Taylor both of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. N. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Keller’s Chapel Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Barry Flemon, Bruce Flemon, Logan Flemon, Dan Morgan, Daniel Hufstedler and Schuyler Broadaway.
