Joyce E Stubbs

Joyce E. Stubbs, 76, of Memphis, passed from this life Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN. She was born October, 21, 1942 in Cash to the late James Earl and Dorothy Hinkle.

Joyce has lived in Memphis since 1986 where she attended Unity Church. She and her husband, JB, owned J & J Carpet Company in Memphis. Joyce was said to be a loving housewife but also loved children, animals, and Christmas.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Hinkle.

Survivors include her husband, JB Stubbs of the home; sons, Jim Barber of Memphis, Michael Barber of Nesbit, MS and Gary Barber of Memphis; daughters, Stacey (Carlos) Garcia of Memphis and Cheryl Barber (Connie Gellert) of Jonesboro as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 1-2 pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Unity Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers include Gary Barber, Austin Bounds, Carlos Garcia, Connie Gellert, Gary Carter and Tim Eason.
