Joyce Sims

Joyce Sims, 60, of Bay, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 05, 2006, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born in Bay and had lived most of her life in the Bay area and was of the Baptist belief. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sims, her parents, Cecil and Oda Ashlock; and two brothers, Ernest Ashlock and Jerry Ashlock.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Sandy Sims, of McAllen, Texas; two daughters Tammy Oost of Paragould, Arkansas and Pennie Thompson of Central Alabama. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Rogers, Peggy Vincent, and Janette Richie all of Bay and Shirley Glover of Jonesboro and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday December 8, 2006 at Woods Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Bill Passmore officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
