Joyce Anne Playter

Joyce Anne Playter went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2020 at her Jonesboro home surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's at the age of 82.

Joyce was born on April 22, 1938 in Janesville, WI to the late James and Josephine (Bear) Stone. She married her late husband James Vern Playter in 1960 and they raised their three children in Waukesha, WI. After an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, she relocated to Jonesboro, AR to be cared for by her son and daughter-in-law.

Joyce is survived by her sister Audrey Strang of Madison, WI., two sons, Jaye (Marjie) Playter of Jonesboro, AR, Jeffrey Playter of Waukesha, WI, and Son-in-law Craig Webster of New Berlin, WI., grandchildren, Maggie Playter, Jared Playter, Amberlee Webster, and Alyssa Webster,

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jodi Webster and sister Jere Moore.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful team of ladies that assisted with Joyce’s care while residing in Jonesboro, AR. Tina Lamb, Rachael McPheeters, Louise Ray, & Terri Schiller. You ladies will always be a part of our family.

Visitation will take place Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church Atrium on Main Street in Jonesboro, AR. Service will follow with Pastor John Miles officiating.
