Joyce aka as Granny J was born in Jonesboro November 15, 1951 she passed away at home due to heart related issues on Saturday July 20th 2019 in Qulin, Missouri. Joyce was a Christian, Homemaker, Widow, mom and grandmother

She was proceeded in death by her Parents, Ernest Richard Smith JR and Betty Louise Pierce Smith; her Husband, Roger Dewell Pickett; 24 unborn children and 14 unborn grandchildren; her son in law, Barry Strong; sister, Ruby Henfling and a Niece Jessica Dawn Williford.

Joyce is Survived by her Daughter, Valerie Pickett Val Strong whom she lived with and her Children Nathaniel & Noah Griese Morgan & Hayden Strong of the home; her Son, Roger Alan Pickett wife Lisa and their children Nicholas, Ava and Dakota; her bonus grandchildren, Tyler Arender Griese and wife Morgan, Tristen Dekota Griese and wife Mady Griese & daughter Evy, Crystal Bradsher, Kevyn Strong, Kymberleigh Strong, Chance and Gage  whom she loved and cherished; as well as her own two Ex Sons in Laws, whom she loved and thought a lot of Kristopher Griese and Jeremy Mclaughlin;  her sister, Barbara Williford and nieces, Brandy Mitchell, Jennifer McDaniel and Tina Henfling, great nieces and nephews, Aaron, Saun, Emily, Meghan, Caleb and Matthew and their babies.

Joyce was very opinionated and rotten, she loved and cared for all and made friends everywhere she went. Her brain tumor changed her in a lot of ways but she always had her way of being Granny J. She is loved and missed by all. She went to college to be an English teacher when the tumor stopped her from graduating she loved being a student teaching at Pocahontas High School.

Memorial service will be Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville with Bro. Jerry Clements officiating.

Her wishes were to be cremated and spread in a location disclosed to only immediate family.
