Joyce Joann Hughes

Joyce Joann Hughes 67, of Jonesboro entered into rest on September 6, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on January 8, 1946 to John Blankenship and Lena Pauline Hannaford Blankenship. Joyce had lived in Jonesboro/Bay area since 1992, was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 38 years; Gordon Hughes of the home.

Son; Chad Hughes (Emily) of Bay.

Daughters; Carla Bradford (Tommy) of Jonesboro and Christa Brand (Ronnie) of Bay.

Brothers; Leroy Blankenship of Batesville and Bill Blankenship of Little Rock.

Sisters; Barbara Hill of Bay and Connie Simkowiak of Jonesboro.

Grandchildren; Lisa Cole Hammett, Beth Cole Mullins, Londyn Hughes, John Brand and Allison Brand.

Great grandchildren; Taylor Hammett, Haley Hammett, Aubrey Hammett, Railynn Mulllins, Reyanna Mullins and Patrick Mullins.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 12, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rex Darling officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Chad Hughes, Ronnie Brand, Tommy Bradford, DeWayne Hammett, Ray Mullins and Ben Blankenship.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday September 12 at Emerson Funeral Home.
