Joyce Fay Mccormick

Joyce Fay Hensley Hazelwood McCormick, 75, of Jonesboro, passed from this earth Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Joyce was born in the Hall Thicket community near Grubbs to the late Bill and Janie Helen Ivy Hensley. Joyce lived in Egypt before moving to Jonesboro in 1973. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dale McCormick, one son, Billy Clarence Hazelwood, two sisters, Daisy June Aden and Alice Baker, two brothers, Howard Hensley and George Hensley, one granddaughter Chelsey Chiann Martin, and one grandson.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Daisy Jane and Noble, Sr. Martin, Annie Hazelwood Sammons and Jerry Sammons, and Juanita and Tracy Craig, all of Jonesboro; and five sons and daughters-in-law: Tommy Hazelwood, Lonnie and Sheila Hazelwood, Jimmy and Pam Hazelwood, Johnny and Della Hazelwood, and Jerry Hazelwood all of Jonesboro.

One sister, Juanita Keaton of Jonesboro; 35 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Guy Kochel officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Danny Laws, Ronnie Keaton, Robbie Baker, Jerry Sammons, Dwight Riley and Jerry Edison. Honorary pallbearers include Tyler Craig, Noble Martin, Matt Martin, Matthew Hazelwood, Dustin Hazelwood and Jermey Ballew.

Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
