Joyce Ellouise Duncan Dundas, 72 of Agnos, Arkansas died Thursday June 30, 2011 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
Joyce was born on February 4, 1939, in Lepanto, to the late Earl and Daisy Rook. Joyce retired from Wal-Mart as a Photo Technician. She was of the Baptist belief and attended Crossroads Community Church. She was part of the Auxiliary Fire Department in Glencoe. She was always volunteering in her community, and her selfless acts and generosity will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents Earl and Daisy Rook, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty two years George Allen Duncan; infant twin sons, Ronnie and Donnie Duncan; a son Wayne Allen Duncan; three brothers Talmadge Rook, Harold Rook, Melvin Earl Rook; and a sister Dianne Rook.
Survivors include her daughters; Brenda Webb and her husband Johnny of Jonesboro and Sandra Duncan and her fiancé Ralph Hopkins of Cherokee Village; a brother, Larry Rook of Jonesboro; a sister, Annie Pearl Irby of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Gaylon Webb, Valerie Tate, Victoria Webb all of Jonesboro; two great grandchildren Braydon Jones and Shianne Webb both of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 2 pm at the Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Pastor Henry Parker and Pastor John Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until time of service.
