Joyce Dunavant

Joyce Dunavant, 97 of Jonesboro, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Jonesboro Health Care. She had lived in Jonesboro for the past 37 years, moving here from Baltimore, Maryland. She was of the Methodist belief. Joyce was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott A. Dunavant; one son, her parents and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Harbour of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; son, Gerald Scott Dunavant (Barbara) of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters, Duffa Bolin of St. Louis, Missouri; Arlene May of Jonesboro; Faye Redd of Harrisburg; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Kurt Neely officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Wednesday.
