Joyce F. Chadwick Sairls, 81, of Jonesboro, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Nettleton, Joyce lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She worked several years as Store Manager for Quality Stamps in Jonesboro. She was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bud” Sairls, by her parents: Albert and Katie McClellan Chadwick, by one sister, Ruby Francway, and by two brothers: Ralph and Lee Chadwick.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Robin Sairls of Jonesboro;
1 daughter: Shirley Tate of Lebanon, Tennessee;
1 brother and his wife: William Doyle and Rita Ann Chadwick of Saugatuck, Michigan;
3 grandchildren and their spouses: Tony and Traci Tate, Katie and C.W. Toombs, and Emma Sairls; and
1 great granddaughter: Avery Toombs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Jim Bryant, Harold Chadwick, Jerry May, Dub Newell,
Glen Patterson and Jerry Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers include Dr. James Mark Robinette and J.D. Coker.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 prior to the funeral service.
