Joyce Marie Barker

Joyce Marie Barker “Big Momma”, 64, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late Watson Barker Sr. and Fannie Brownlee on October 2, 1958 in Marked Tree.

Joyce has resided in Jonesboro since 1999. She was a member of the Faith & Healing Outreach Ministry here in Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief. Joyce was an avid fisher and loved spending time with her grand babies. Joyce also enjoyed knitting and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her two brothers, Watson Barker Jr. and Monroe McCoy.

Joyce is survived by her son, Leroy Jones Jr of Jonesboro; daughters, Theresa (Leslie) Brownlee of Jonesboro, Curleen (Christopher) Thomas of Jonesboro, Shalana (Joseph) Grant of Jonesboro, special daughter Regina Quinn of Payneway, and God daughter, Jalisa Malone of Jonesboro; brothers, Curtis Brownlee of Jonesboro, Randy Brownlee of Trumann, and Robert Brownlee of Trumann; special sister, Alice Malone of Jonesboro; 22 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow at 2 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor James officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Hill, Keandre Hill, Michael Robinson Jr., Avion Robinson, Xavier Jones, and Christopher Thomas Jr.
