Joy Ann Coble

Joy Ann Coble, 85, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, May 2 ^nd , 2022 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born September 7, 1936 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Archie McElroy and Ouida Elsie Moore.

Joy has lived in Jonesboro most of her life and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing cards, traveling when she and her husband were able, and spending time with her lifelong school friends.

In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Coble; step-father, James Moore; brothers, Garner McElroy and Floyd McElroy; sister, Pauline Edings and a grandson, DJ Coble.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Jennifer) Crisp; step-sons, Roy Lee Coble (Peggy Walker) and Darrell (Holly) Coble; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Richbourg, Zach (Brittany) Crisp, Autumn (Chris) Fikes, Olivia (Shaun) Pfaff, Tyler Crisp, Ryan (Laura) Coble, Sean (Meranda) Coble, Aaron (Linsey) Coble, Tyler (Valerie) Coble and Addam (Arianne) Coble; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Glenda Neff, the staff at The Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House, her home hospice workers, and the Nettleton High School Class of 1955.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 pm with Bro. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Zach Crisp, Ty Crisp, Michael Richbourg, Aaron Coble, Sean Coble and Harry Darby.
