Josette C. Miller

Josette C. Miller, 91 of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born December 11, 1928 in d’Auch, France daughter of the late Paulin and Therese Cristofari.

Josette was raised in Morocco, North Africa where she met the love of her life Chief Warrant Officer W4 Edward F. Miller in the US Naval Reserve stationed on the USS Noble APA 218.

A devout dog lover, Josette held positions of officer and director of several animal rescue groups while living in Mamaroneck, New York. Moving to New Milford, Connecticut she and her husband owned and operated the Merryall Kennels, private pet boarding for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Josette is preceded in death by her husband; two children Edward B. Miller and Elizabeth M. Miller; in-laws Ralph and Alice Marie Miller.

Josette is survived by her daughters, Margaret R. ( Frank) Giovannone of Charleston, S.C. And Leslie J. (John MD) Woloszyn of Jonesboro; grandchildren Danielle Giovannone, Jacqueline Adams, Lisa and Lara Woloszyn; great grandchildren Amelia and Penelope Adams; sister Francoise (Charles) Mackwitz of France.

There will be a private family burial at Paxtang Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pa
