Josephine H. Philpot

Josephine H. Philpot, 89, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday March 9, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She had lived in Jonesboro for over 56 years. Jo was a member of Central Baptist Church. Her husband, Carrol Philpot; parents, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. James Philpot (Lisa) of Springfield, Missouri; Philip Philpot of Jonesboro; daughter, Joy Birge (Carroll) of Damascus, Arkansas; sister, Grace Hammond of Rogers, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 Saturday, March, 12, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Mike Martin officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private. There will be no public visitation.
