Joseph "Joe" M. Sparks

Joseph “Joe” M. Sparks Jr., 83, of Jonesboro died Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro for the past 44 years, moving here from Walnut Ridge. He served his country in the US Air Force and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. He was also the Jonesboro Airport Manager. Joe was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kali Nicole Sparks and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Sparks, of the home; son, Michael Sparks (Rhonda) of Conway; daughters, Teresa Sparks Boyd of Jonesboro; Sharon Sparks Foley (George) of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Daniel Foley, Nathan Foley, Cameron Boyd and Megan Foley.

Visitation for Joe will be Monday, August 18, 2014 from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home. All other services will be private.
