Joseph “Joe” M. Brooks, 30, formerly of Jonesboro died Friday March 2, 2012 in Mountain Home.

Joe was born in Jonesboro on June 25, 1981. He was a member of the Jonesboro High School Class of 1999. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a proud member of Sigma Chi fraternity, and an active member of the Lions Club of Mountain Home. He was employed by Brooks Medical Supply in Mountain Home. Joe was a devoted Razorback and St.Louis Cardinals fan. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Knight.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Nancy Brooks of Little Rock formerly of Jonesboro; a brother, Andrew Brooks of Little Rock; a sister, Beth Brooks of Jonesboro; a niece, Annabelle Brooks of Little Rock; paternal grandparents, Joe and Ann Brooks of Jonesboro; maternal grandmother, Dolores Knight of Brick, NJ; aunts and uncles, William and Marcie Cheatham, Greg Brooks all of Jonesboro, Larry Knight of Denver, CO, Ruth Knight of Eau Claire, WI, and Pat and Beth McPaul of Manasquan, NJ.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brad Heringer, Carter Malloy, Will Green, Will Coleman, Kent Arnold Jr., Marshall Hubbard, Emily Moore, Jesse Burnett, Carl Heringer, Clay Green, Jeff High, J.D. Booker, Daniel Bearden, Brandon Worsham, Brian Smiley, Miller Wilson, Zane Johnson, and Dobson Ramsey.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Jonesboro High School Class of 1999, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
