Jonathan Alan Wray, 38, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Lake City. He was born on August 17, 1984 in Lake Village. Jonathan has only resided in Jonesboro for just a brief time after spending the majority of life in the central Arkansas area. He was of the Christian belief and also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lake Village.
Jonathan had such an infectious smile, gave the best hugs, and could light up the room. He was a hard worker and cared so much for others, especially his family.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Douglas Wray, and his uncle, Joe Wray.
Jonathan is survived by his father, Mark (Dena) Wray of Beebe; Grandmother, Patsy Wells; four sons, Kaden Williams of Beebe, Jay Wray of Jonesboro, Brylan Fleming of Jonesboro, and Blake Fleming of Jonesboro; daughter, Aidan Marcum of Monticello; sister, Devon (Chris)Albritton of Monticello; step sister Amber (Joe) Bailey of Beebe; two step brothers, Jessie (Taylor) Stewart of Beebe and Tristen Stewart of Dover, DE; and two aunts, Vivian Wray and Kathy (Steve) Smith of Jonesboro and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Friday, June 2nd, 2023, at Emerson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with active pallbearers being Todd Smith, Judson Smith, Jeremy Cole, Gary Gossett, Donnie Ammons, Jay Wray, and Jason Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug L. Wray and Andy Clark.
