Jonathan Drum, 34, of Jonesboro, a disabled Army veteran passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Jonesboro. He was born on October 25, 1989, in Torrance, CA, to John Drum and Gie Ponder. Jonathan moved from California to Jonesboro 25 years ago and has been a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jonesboro.

Jonathan graduated from The Academies of Jonesboro High in 2007. He then attended Arkansas State University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business, followed by a Master's degree.

Jonathan had a passion for travel and was known for his kind and generous spirit. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Drum, and his maternal grandmother, Hatsuko Manuel.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Sarah Drum; his father, John Drum, and stepmother, Riza Drum of Jonesboro; his mother, Gie Ponder, and stepfather, Bart Ponder of Jonesboro; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Drum of Jonesboro; his brothers, Justin (Ebony) Drum, Jason Drum, and Luke Drum all of Jonesboro, and Tyler Ponder of Columbus, OH; his sister, Winter Drum of Jonesboro; his beloved pets, Lulu and Suzy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Timothy's Anglican Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:45 am, followed by the memorial service at 10:00 am.

The family requests a business casual dress code with preference for colorful attire.
