Jonah Edward "Pud" Jones, 88, a life-long resident of Jonesboro died Friday, December 4, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. He was of the Presbyterian belief. Jonah retired from Ramson Construction as a crane operator. He enjoyed his hobby, which was fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Delana Jane Jones; sons, Edward Elvis Jones, Raymond Jerry Jones, and Elvis Ray Jones.
Survivors include sons, Garland Doyle Jones and his wife, Vonita and Timothy Ray Jones and wife Jackie, all of Jonesboro; 18 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with David Chadwick officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Old Enterprise Cemetery with Paul Jones, Brandon Jones, James Jones, Jerry Jones, Jeff Jones and Austin Heikes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Cox, Justin Johnson, Johnny Gardner, Corey Jones and Corey Campbell. Visitation will be from 5-7 Monday night at the Emerson Chapel.
