Johnny Reed

Johnny Reed, 53, of Bay passed from this life Thursday, January 15, 2015 at his home. Johnny was born in Jonesboro on May 9, 1961 to Kenneth and Shelby Reed. He was a graduate of Bay High School. Johnny lived in Bay most of his life and was of the Baptist Belief. He loved working on cars, drag racing, riding 4-wheelers and also enjoyed fishing. Most of all Johnny loved hunting with his grandchildren and watching his grandchildren play sports. Johnny was a welder for many years at Parker in Trumann. He was most known for having the full service Exxon station in Bay. Johnny never met a stranger and had many loving family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father; Gene Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Joyce Reed of the home. 1 daughter; Shanta (Matt) Hartley of Bay, mother; Shelby Reed of Bay, 1 sister; Janice Hewitt of Jonesboro, grandchildren: Mallory, Paiton, and Kaden Hartley all of Bay, and 1 nephew Johnathan (Jennifer) Hewitt of Jonesboro.

Graveside funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 am at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Harles Banks officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday 6:00-8:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
