Johnny Pankey

Johnny Hugh Pankey, 87, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born to the late FM and Alice Pankey on October 4, 1933 in Cardwell, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Trudy Pankey; son, Dale Pankey; brothers, LC Pankey and Tony Pankey; and nephew, Mario Pankey.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, Rena Pankey, Phyllis Russell, and Dana (Jim Bob) Leach; bonus daughter, Debbie Roberts; sisters, Quara Vowan, Faye (Dewayne) Davidson; Grandchildren, Sio’ Bhan (Rodney) Keeton, Bri (Preston) Hines, Lynae (Gene) Layne, Jonathan Leach, Jayna Leach, Jessica Leach, James Ryan Leach, Jenny Simmons, Bethany Hooper, and Travis Kimberling; great grandchildren, Jacob Layne, Conner Layne, Jaxson Hines, Asher Keeton, Layla Hines, Tate Layne, Carlos Lagunas, and Caleb Muller. Johnny also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that he loved!

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with Rodney Keeton officiating. The pallbearers will be Jonathan Leach, Travis Kimberling, Jacob Layne, Caleb Muller, and James Ryan Leach.
