Johnny Blaxton

John “Johnny” Wood Blaxton, 75, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at his home. He was born to the late John and Verna Blaxton on September 30, 1947 in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Johnny was a veteran of the U.S. and he was happy to have served his country. He loved raising animals and was a member of the Pigeon Club. Johnny enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, attending auctions & sales, gardening, and working on projects with his grandson. He was also very knowledgeable and loved to collect marbles, inkwells, and sad irons. In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Blaxton, Bobby Blaxton, and James Blaxton.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy White Blaxton of the home; son John Anthony Blaxton (Kelly) of Jonesboro; sister, Carol Ann Armstrong of Mountain Home; and grandson, Jonathan Courage Blaxton.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
