Johnnie Ruth Fisher

Johnnie Ruth Fisher, 95, of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born November 10, 1929, to the late Willie and Hazel Beckham, Johnnie spent her early years in Blytheville before relocating to Jonesboro in 1969. While in Blytheville, she was the proud owner and operator of Fisher Moving and Storage, a business she ran with dedication and pride.

Johnnie was saved alongside her husband, Harold Ray Fisher, at Nettleton Baptist Church. She later became a devoted member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro, where her faith continued to be a guiding force in her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Fisher, and her daughter, Peggy Neal.

She is lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren: Samantha Neal, Amanda Neal, and Michael Neal; great-grandchildren, Brooke Neal and Bobby Neal; several cousins; and one special friend, Jo Ann Lawrence of Jonesboro.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Walnut Street Baptist Church in Johnnie’s honor.
