Johnie Franklin Rutherford

Johnie Franklin Rutherford, 81, of Jonesboro died Thursday April 11, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. Johnie was born in Paragould on December 1, 1931 to Earl and Julia Hazelwood Rutherford and had lived in Jonesboro for 21 years. He was a retired U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran and of the Church of Christ belief.

In addition to his parents, Johnie was preceded in death by his first wife; Sue Rutherford, sister; Rachel Lendeman and granddaughter; Cynthia Shelley.

Survived by his wife; Anna Rutherford of the home.

Daughters; Julie Bradford (Bob) of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Lori McLeod (Matt) of Battle Creek, Michigan and Beth Shelley (Randal) of Conway, Arkansas.

Sister; Alma Murphy of Patterson, Arkansas

7 grandchildren.

A graveside service will at 11:00 A.M. Monday April 15, at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye, Arkansas with Randal Shelley officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 3-5:00 P.M. Sunday April 14, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
