John Walter Henry

John Walter Henry, age 79, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg. He was born on May 29, 1945, in Lake City to the late John and Ruby Henry.

John was a devoted member of Valley View Church of Christ and enjoyed a life filled with family, faith, and hobbies that brought him great joy. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening, and he had a special passion for working on cars—especially his cherished Jaguar and Corvette.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Oliver Henry, and his brother, Gerald Henry.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Henry of the home; one daughter, Shelly Brown (Scott) of Jonesboro; one sister, Genevieve Rennicke (Ken) of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Hillary Davis of Harrisburg, Allison Weiser (Justin) of Bella Vista, and Emily Brown of Fayetteville; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Davis and Annah Davis.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery.
